Color Work for March
The above illustration was for an east coast newspaper client of mine. I don't quite remember the story, but I seem to think it was about 'self examination' (?). Probably shouldn't have mixed the scratchboard with the more realistic treatment of the CT scan, the styles don't mix well.
Another couple of illustrations for the same client are pictured below. Both had something to do with the rash of priest pedophilia cases that were all over the news at the time (and I'd do a few more on the same topic over the next few months).
The illustration above and below were for a catholic magazine client of mine. I don't quite remember what the story was on each of these. (and now that I think of it, I think one of these may have been for a different jesuit publication, but I don't remember which is which)
One illustration that I really wasn't happy with this month, was the drawing below, for an east coast legal newspaper. I wasn't crazy about the concept (given by the editors), and I'm afraid my lack of enthusiasm shows plainly in the finished product.
