My Life in Pictures Part Twenty Two: Back to the Drawing Board

Thanks to the life drawing course that I took in '87 and '88, I returned to drawing in my spare time for recreation, and actually went so far as to set up a small studio in a large closet of our house where I could set out works in progress and my art supplies. Some of these drawings are from the class that I audited (I may have taken two classes, or perhaps it was just two semesters, I don't quite remember), and some of them are drawings I made at home of my wife.

I remember the instructor for this particular class being big on 'patterns and decoration', to help enliven the figure studies, so both of these are heavy on the decorative elements. Frankly, I found that sort of thing dull and tedious, and I preferred to lavish more attention on the figure.
